My motivation for painting thangkas is to provide a support to practitioners engaged in the visualization of Buddhist deities. It is my intent to adhere as closely as possible to traditional methods and materials.
The particular school of thangka painting that I follow is the Karma Gadri.
My main teacher is Sanje Elliott, who has been painting thangkas for over 30 years in this tradition.
I’ve also studied at Gonjang monastery in India under Lama Tsondru Sangpo, exploring the processing and application of mineral and vegetable pigments.
I am now accepting commissions from individual practitioners and centers of retreat and practice.
